New and Improved: My Big Question

What is the relationship between reality and our dreams/nightmares?

  1. Interesting question. Is this purely a psychological question or will you include culture and technology? (Regarding tech, check out the "Dream Machine" video on YouTube.)

  2. I think stress and anxiety definitely have a strong influence on them. For example, a week before my behind the wheel driving test I had nightmares about driving the course every single night haha

  3. I do think this is a very interesting question. Cambria does have a good point, but sometimes I have random nightmares. Well, I can't wait to see what answers you come up with!

  5. This question is very difficult to answer because psychologically our minds treat dreams and nightmares just like reality with the only difference between the two are that in dreams and nightmares, our brain shuts down the ability to move physically. This is why sleep walking and sleep talking are typically seen as abnormalities rather than the accepted norm. I found this information out in the psychology textbook I had last year in Mr. Wagner's psychology class. Good luck! I would love to hear your conclusions.
